MKR Commemorative Stamp (February 2008)

The Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Commemorative Stamp Event was held at Cross Creek on February 21, 2008. Hundreds of stamp collectors and MKR fans gathered at the Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Historic State Park for the first day of issue. Among the guests were US Postal Service dignitaries from Washington, DC, as well as state and local Postal Service officials, Friends of the MKR Farm, and students from the Rawlings Elementary School in Gainesville.
