Tea with Zora and Marjorie

Join us for a play by Barbara Speisman entitled A Tea with Zora and Marjorie at the Matheson History Museum in Gainesville at 7 p.m. on July 21.  The play has as its basis a meeting over “tea”  (i.e., whiskey) between Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings and Zora Neale Hurston, author of Their Eyes Were Watching God and other works.  The meeting took place in segregated 1940s St. Augustine at Marjorie’s apartment at the Castle Warden Hotel.
