Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Birthday Celebration

About 120 people gathered at the Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Historic State Park in Cross Creek, FL to help celebrate what would have been Rawlings 127th birthday. (MKR's official birthdate is August 8th).

Visitors were treated to musical entertainment, cupcakes, and mango sherbet made from Marjorie's own recipe in her popular book Cross Creek Cookery. Guests also had the opportunity to take a special walk-through of Marjorie's home and the chance to explore the farm.
